The Institute is highly experienced in the development, manufacture and supply of sensors, devices, equipment and various systems for GAZPROM facilities. Unique technologies and software have been developed for status evaluation of high-consequence industrial facilities and optimized pipeline transportation of natural gas and oil products. Information-control and vibration monitoring systems, vibration transducers, and metrology equipment for natural gas quality control are part of an integrated package of technologies used in diagnostics and monitoring of industrial facilities within the Russian fuel and energy complex.
The equipment and systems developed by RFNC - VNIIEF are intended to improve the operation and efficiency of gas-transport plants. The products made here are competitive with the imported analogs in their performance. The customer base is growing steadily.
Principles and long-range objectives have been identified for the cooperation towards increased safety of nuclear power. One of the VNIIEF conversion activities is a program to develop computer-aided nondestructive test technologies for nuclear power plants. The products developed and offered today include multichannel mechanical test equipment for NPP, a software/hardware package to support effective process safety systems for NPP, and automatic devices for eddy-current and ultrasonic probing of reactor fixed joints. There is a plan to develop and upgrade software for the NPP databases, which are to be integrated into a general information system on the industry and global scale.
