With the expertise developed at RFNC - VNIIEF in various fields of science and technology, the Institute has been extensively working to provide multiple services to industry. It is specific of the Institute to work on a custom basis. Our personnel can go out directly to the sites to investigate the project details or to perform warranty services. We can assure fulfilling the customer orders up to a high engineering standard, meeting all safety requirements and environmental regulations.
The RFNC - VNIIEF services particularly include:
- Certification. The available experimental capabilities are used to validate and certify equipment, measurement procedures, and high explosives and their derivative products.
- Disassembly of large-size equipment and structures containing explosive and toxic materials. Our explosive technologies can be used in industry or construction works without interrupting the production cycle and with minimized time of personnel exposure to hazards.
- Repair and recovery operations at nuclear power plants. RFNC - VNIIEF is the only organization in Russia, authorized to perform explosive operations for repair at the operating nuclear power facilities.
- Testing of structures and their components for seismic resistance. RFNC - VNIIEF offers an experimental technique to test the dynamic response of large engineering structures using high-power explosive generators of pulse loads to quite accurately simulate the shock effects produced by earthquake.
