General Director of the State Corporation for Atomic Energy Segey Kirienko and the Head of Federal Medical and Biological Agency Vladimir Uijba visited the Central Clinical Hospital ¹ 50 in Sarov on 9 February 2012.
In November, 2011 the Head of Rosatom have already met with representatives of public city organizations and FMBA. At this meeting the basic problems were highlighted: re-equipment, making appointment to doctors, salaries of medical staff and living accommodations.
Since then certain problems had been solved yet. Vladimir Uijba mentioned, that about 250 millions were delivered for the needs of Sarov within the national project for modernization of health care services in ZATO and atomic power stations, with another 20 millions delivered for computerization of documentation processes.
Sergey Kirienko underlined, that the money for re-equipment and for modernization of appointment procedures are being implemented already, whereas the problems of salaries and accommodation are to be solved by FMBA, to which Rosatom is ready to give a helping hand.
The head of Rosatom said: “Inflow of new qualified personnel into medical services of Sarov city is of utmost importance. We wish that our high-qualified exerts be healed by no less qualified medical specialists”.

The Head of the State Corporation ROSNANO Anatoly Tchubais, the Head of Rosatom Sergey Kirienko and the Governor of Nizhny Novgorod region Valery Shantsev visited the Russian Federal Nuclear Center on 9 February, 2012.
The broadened session of the Council of Directors of OJSC “Tekhnopark-Sarov” was held within the visit.
The leaders of state corporations and the region were familiarized with design projects pursued by VNIIEF and Tekhnopark, yet implemented in various industries. The briefing was held after the session. Anatoly Tchubais underlined: “What we have here is the unique potential, which can be used for commercialization of a bunch of technologies, accumulated in the nuclear center so far. For this potential to find an outcome, or, in other words, for large-scale innovative business to be attracted serious efforts are needed, including the intellectual administrative resource, which is to be added...

The grand ceremony dedicated to opening of Business Center located at the territory of "Technopark" took place on February 1, 2012.
The ceremony held in Satis settlement - the home place of "Technopark" company, was attended by V.P. Shantsev, the Governor of Nizhny Novgorod region, V.E. Kostyukov, the Director of the Federal Nuclear Center VNIIEF, R.I. Il'kayev, the Scientific Leader of VNIIEF, academician of RAS, A.V. Golubev, mayor of Sarov city and V.D. Dimitrov, the head of the city administration.
Those present were familiarized with the innovative projects pursued by RFNC-VNIIEF related to establishment of the national center of laser technologies, the center of competences and training for super-computer technologies, as well as the projects aiming at development of energy-effective and energy-saving technologies.
The representatives of the Council of the young scientists and specialists (VNIIEF), students of SarFTI and polytechnic school and senior students of Satis high school were invited to participate in the ceremony as well.
The leaders of the region, VNIIEF and the city answered the questions of the younger generation related to scientific-technical and social issues of interest.
The Governor of Nizhny Novgorod region underlined, that the successful implementation of the program aimed at establishment of high-tech infra-structure and development of scientific and technical activity in Technopark became possible thanks to VNIIEF experts actively involved.

The XIV International Conference “High-Power Pulsed Electrophysics” under the auspices of Khariton Scientific Readings will be held from 12 to 16 March, 2011 in RFNC-VNIIEF.
The promoters of the Conference are the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “The Russian Federal Nuclear Center – All-Russian Research Institute of Experimental Physics” and the State Corporation for the Atomic Energy “Rosatom”.
The Conference will cover the following problems: theoretical problems of power electrophysics; particle accelerators and radiation sources based on the same; magnetic cumulation and its applications; electro-physical studies within plasma physics and gas discharge; electro-physical studies within the physics of the condensed state.
Applications are accepted before 15 January 2012.
The application form of the participant is to be filled in by the candidates.

RFNC-VNIIEF was awarded with one silver and two golden medals at the exhibition in Brussels for the authentic development efforts.
The delegation from RFNC-VNIIEF took part in the 60-th World Exhibition of Innovative Scientific Developments and Technologies “Brussels – Innova/Eureca”.
The exhibition is the world-recognized platform for demonstration of the contemporary innovative efforts in science and technology, also promoting their optional commercialization methods.
The 60-th Show was attended by 75 participants from 13 countries and was organized under the auspices of the King of Belgium and the financial assistance of the Ministry of Economy of the region Brussels-the capital and the Belgium House of Inventors. The events of the official and business programs of the Show were attended by the representatives of the European business and political communities, the European Commission included.
The technologies developed by the Nuclear Center were certified by the international jury. Special attention was given to the novelty and originality of technical solutions, as well as to their practical implementation and legal protection of the newly-developed technologies.
The golden medals and diplomas were awarded for the design of the “Electronic seal” (R.M. Samigulin, S.V. Blagin, V.V. Angilopov) and “The Facility to extract foreign objects from channels” (developed by S.A. Krayukhin, N.V. Lapichev, G.P. Shlyapnikov).
The silver medal and diploma for the technological development was awarded to the project “Semi-products and complementary parts with nano-structure for constructional applications” (developed by A. Smolyakov).
The following developments were awarded with Rospatent diplomas: “Electronic seal” and “The Facility to extract foreign objects from channels”.
Above all, the “Electron seal” device was awarded with a special prize of the Shaw and the diploma established by the International Organization for Business Development Eurobusiness-Haller (Poland).

On the 15 of November, 2011, the delegations from OJSC “KAMAZ” and the Ministry of Education and Science visited RFNC-VNIIEF.
The delegations met with the representatives of RFNC- VNIIEF to summarize the current stage of the project dealing with super-computers and grid technologies and to resume the next stage of the project pursued in cooperation with the automotive industry.
General Director of “KAMAZ” Sergey Anatolievich Kogogin said, as he commented on collaboration with the Federal Nuclear Center: “We have chosen the correct partner. There is nothing more important for us than the result. Thanks to this partnership we have attained the design parameters that we were exactly looking for. Judging by the results yet achieved we can say, that in the designing field we have left behind all of our basic competitors. This is the place, where people are capable to work and to find brand new solutions”.
The supervisors from the Ministry of Education and Science emphasized, that the activities under the project proceed ahead of the schedule and the resulting products are highly demanded by tangible industrial companies. That is why the project will be further developed with all the associated changes, proposed by the Commission for modernization under the auspices of the President of RF, inserted.
At the final stage of the visit the Agreement for cooperation and the Annual Schedule for the next year were signed by the parties.

The Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Anatoly Serdyukov visited the Russian Federal Nuclear Center on 21 October, 2011. In the course of his journey the Minister visited the Scientific-Methodological Center of RFNC-VNIIEF and the Institute of Theoretical and Mathematical Physics, and was familiarized with the present-day state of activities as far as the basic subject matter pursued by the nuclear center goes. The Minister met with the top managers of the center: the Director of the Institute of Laser Physics (ILFI) Sergey Garanin, the First Deputy Director of RFNC-VNIIEF and the Director of ITMF Vyacheslav Soloviev, the First Deputy Director of ITMF Rashit Shagaliev.
Before he leaved the center, Anatoly Serdyukov laid the bunch of flowers on the monument of Yuly Khariton and talked with mass media representatives. As he pointed out, “the trends and the developments, the nuclear center is pursuing, are satisfying and encouraging. Having just familiarized with the new technologies, we instantly know how to implement them. With our efforts combined we are capable to solve the problems, the government is tasking for the Armed Forces.”
The Director of VNIIEF Valentin Kostyukov underlined: “We see the Ministry of Defense as the exigent customer, capable to assimilate the new principles governing weapon development process”.

The closing ceremony of the 61-th International Conference “Nucleus-2011”, covering the issues of nuclear spectroscopy and structure of the atomic nucleus, concurring with the 65-the anniversary of RFNC-VNIIEF, took place on the 14 of October, 2011. The Conference was attended by the representatives from the USA and West Europe – Hungary, France, Austria (IAEA) and Germany, as well as by those from the former USSR – Ukraine, Belorussia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. The topics covered by the Conference were quite traditional both for the hosting party and the visiting scientific-research institutes. The agenda was split into several breakup groups, such as “Properties of the atomic nuclei (theory)”, “Nuclear reactions (experiments)”, “Nuclear reactions (theory)”, “Equipment and methods involved into nuclear-physics experiment”, “Fundamental studies in nuclear physics” and “Nuclear data as applied in modern technologies”. The Conference is held on the annual basis and is hosted by the top players, remarkable for their special achievements in the associated area of studies. The Federal Nuclear Center had always been one of the leading participants in the conference, regardless of the place, where it is being arranged, presenting the maximum number of reports and demonstrating the brilliant results. This year a lot of various reports was presented again, covering the wide spectrum of activities.

On the 13 of October, 2011, the III International Conference “High-intensive physical factors in biology, medicine, agriculture and ecology” was closed. At the closing ceremony the Deputy Director of the scientific leader of RFNC-VNIIEF, the Director of the scientific-technical center of high-density physics V.D. Selemir pointed out, that the cooperative projects related to nuclear medicine, executed jointly with the Privolzhsky Regional Medical Center, as well as the studies involving nitrogen monoxide and the brand new fertilizers based on electro-physic intensification of soluble nitrogen compositions, are of great importance both from the viewpoint of improvement of life quality and solution of food supply security problem. A.F. Vanin, Doctor of Biology, Head of Laboratory of the Institute of Chemical Physics after N.N. Semenov underlined the importance of joint efforts of the world scientific community, as they are aimed at the speedy introduction of nitrogen monoxide into medical practice, for which purpose electro-physic monoxide generator, having no world analogs was developed in RFNC-VNIIEF. Professor V.Z. Lankin from the Russian Cardiological Scientific Production Complex highly estimated the general scientific level of the Conference, specially underlining the practical validity of exchange of views within implementation of active oxygen. G.I. Tikhonova from the Scientific Research Institute of Labor Medicine, RAS, drew the attention of the participants to the essential nature of collaboration with RFNC-VNIIEF as far as study of vital activity of those populating atomic cities. Among numerous results of the Conference the perspective new methods in medicine were specially noted, which can embodied using plasma generator, developed in VNIIEF.

From 12 to14 October, 2011 the III International Conference “High-intensive Physical Factors in Biology, Medicine, Agriculture and Ecology” was held in RFNC-VNIIEF.
Making his welcoming statement the leader of VNIIEF V.E. Kostuykov mentioned, that the Russian Federal Nuclear Center is the promoter of many domestic and worldwide scientific achievements. The Deputy Scientific Leader of RFNC-VNIIEF, the Director of Scientific-Technical Center of High Density Physics V.D. Selemir underlined in his report, that the pace of development of fundamental science and science-intensive production has to be further propelled in order to improve the quality of life and its average span.
The Conference was attended by the experts from ROSATOM, as well as the representatives from: the Institute of Medical and Biological Problems, RAS; the United Institute of Nuclear Studies (Dubna, Russia); the Russian Cardiological Scientific-Production Complex of Minzdravsotsrazvitiye; the Russian Oncological Scientific Center after N.N. Blokhin, RAS; GNIII of Military Medicine of the RF Ministry of Defense; Moscow State University; Nizhny Novgorod State Medical Academy; Nizhny Novgorod State Agricultural Academy.
