IX Khariton Scientific Readings - the International Conference "Extreme states of substance. Detonation. Shock waves"

On 12-15 March 2007, the RFNC-VNIIEF was hosting an international conference IX Khariton Scientific Readings. The topic of this conference was "Extreme states of substance. Detonation. Shock waves".
The Conference addressed the following topics:
  • Energetic materials and detonation physics;
  • Equations of state and phase transitions;
  • Dynamic strength of materials;
  • High-velocity projection and impact;
  • Hydrodynamic instabilities;
  • Jet phenomena;
  • Experimental techniques;
  • Explosive technologies.
The conference activities were attended by more than 100 scientists of 40 institutions and organizations of Russia and FSU and 24 visitors from US, China, France, UK and Poland. About 250 presentations were discussed during the conference sessions, of which 100 papers were offered by RFNC-VNIIEF scientists.
